Padbury Fish and Chips

Don’t ordinarily do reviews but tonight has driven me to let rip so here goes!Deplorable food. Not only were the kids’ nuggets so overcooked they were almost black and the chicken inside had shrivelled up to leathery little portions, but our dim sims were missing. Phoned about the dim sims and the owner happened to answer. He assured us they were in the bag and suggested we just couldn’t see them…seriously? We’re not going to make up a lie over $3.60 worth of dimmies. Eventually he begrudgingly said he’d cook more and we could collect them. Hugely inconvenient but off we went on principle. Wanted to return the burnt nuggets too but figured it was too hard after his attitude re: the dim sims. We collected our missing “dim sims” and couldn’t do anything else but laugh. Tiny burnt spherical balls of whatever-the-heck the size of a Subway meatball each and absolutely drowning in salt.Such a waste of money. Wish I could attach photos because it’s almost unbelievable what we received for our hard-earned dollars.Do not recommend…at all.

4 pieces of fish and $3 chips for $43.Get home and open the packs to find each piece of fish no bigger than 10cm x 6cm and not very thick and what I would consider VERY minimal chips, overall enough to just feed 1 x 4 and 1 x 6 year old.Rather disappointing, and now to find dinner for the adults…Not likely to be back.

I’m sad to say after supporting this business for many years now. I’m not going back. It started with young girl answering the phone with huge attitude to actually going down to get the order. When I got there heard the same attitude serving the people ahead of me. When I got home and opened our order there were barely any chips and the fish was tiny. Wouldn’t even feed a child. I ordered the fish for 2 which was usually enough for my husband and I and lots of chips usually. I’m sorry but very disappointing.

We buy the grilled hake and $2 of chips regularly(once/week) for the past few months and have found them to be top quality and consistently excellent, very tastyHighly recommended!

I will preface by saying that the previous time I went here I had a great meal. Would have preferred to email this but no email address can be found.Unfortunately, this time was extremely disappointing. Ordered via phone - 2 x fish and chips for 2 x people.When we picked it up, the server was rude, through the order down and only grunted replies. Attached is the amount of chips we received for 2 people (one piece of fish had been removed from the picture in the hopes some chips were hiding below, not the case). Beyond disappointed in both the service and the portion.

Disgusting sums it briefly. Fish was thin, small pieces and yuck.Crumbed squid rings were dry and over cooked, even the pineapples tasted not nice. Potato scallops were over cooked and paper thin. Waste of money and very disappointing taking this to eat with my parents.

Just alil gutted they were sold out of everything I wanted :(

Been going on and off to this fish & chips place the last 20 yrs. Sometimes you get your fair amount for your money. But tonight's I would say was the worst. Small amount of chips. Small thin pieces of fish. Dim Sims,Chiko Roll was good . For $28.35 fish should of been better. Different female staff.Regards Craig B Fone

Not my local but needed feeding so i called in.Oil was fresh and meal was cooked well.Atmosphere was pretty average.Whilst i only had a piece of fish and a chico roll. The fish was cooked well but it was the most miserable size id ever had in my life. And it cost me $9.95 for a piece of imported Barramundi.I didnt go for W.A fish as i usually would because their prices were the most expensive i have ever seen at a local suburban fish and chip shop. From memory it was like $16.00 or $18.00.My local charges $14.00 for pink snapper and u get 2 of the most generous pieces.Would i go there again. Yes. But i would only grab a chico roll.And none of the staff smile or talk.
